As a Library Technical Assistant, I have cultivated a strong foundation in library operations, resource management, and digital content organization. My hands-on experience with SirsiDynix and LibGuides has allowed me to streamline workflows, enhance user accessibility, and maintain the accuracy and relevance of library resources.

Shelf-Ready Preparation: Preparing cataloged books to ensure they are ready for immediate placement on shelves.
I am proficient in managing and organizing the reserve list for the library, ensuring that high-demand resources are readily available to support the academic needs of students and faculty. My responsibilities include:
Adding High-Demand Materials: Ensuring that essential items such as textbooks, reference materials, whiteboard marker kits, rulers, HDMI cords, Blu-ray players, and other requested resources are available on reserve.

Inventory Completion – SirsiDynix
I successfully completed my first-ever inventory using SirsiDynix, excluding the final step of running reports. Throughout the process, I ensured accuracy and completeness by:
Scanning and Verifying Records: Carefully scanned all items and verified that each record matched the physical item. I cross-checked bibliographic data to ensure consistency and correctness.
Reviewing Missed Items Report: Accessed and interpreted the report identifying items missed during the scanning process. I followed up by either re-scanning those items or appropriately marking them as missing in the system.
Quality Control: After scanning, I reviewed all records to confirm that they were correctly updated and reflected the current status of each item.
This experience has strengthened my understanding of inventory workflows and report interpretation within SirsiDynix, and has prepared me for more advanced cataloging and collection management tasks.
Social Media & Creative Tools
As a member of the library's social media committee, I use Adobe Express to create and schedule visually engaging posts that promote library events, new resources, and academic tools. This role allows me to support outreach efforts, enhance community engagement, and align digital communications with institutional goals.
